Here is a reminder of what they are going to look like!

CUTTING:

Its an amazing birch ply, 30mm thick and really good quality, these will make up the frames of my worm farms.

VARNISHING:BORING!!!

These worm farms have to be completely water tight because of all the moisture coming from the soil. So with a little help from some satin yacht varnish and sanitary silicone sealant this will do the job.

Finally getting somewhere. I am currently building the frames of the worm farms this is the 'N' of EON. I did not realise how big they were going to be. I think the bigger they are the bigger the statement (probably). perspex has also arrived so thats good news to!

I am trying to get across that the worm cast (worm poo, digested leaves, veg scraps etc) is an ingredient into shaping our landscapes. This was mixture of library source collage, my typeface and desktop publishing technologies....

PROJECT WORM FARM!

This is a plan for my final major project, these will be 4ft high wormeries. They will be filled with soil,woodchip,sand, grit and most importantly rotting veg( for the worms to feast on). There will also be reservoir at the bottom to collect water running through the structure. The water will contain nutrients gained from running through the digested veg and soil, perfect for growing plants! On the top of the farm i also want to grow potatoes with a perspex front you will be able to see a visible cycle of life!

The word Eon is perfect as it is a term used to describe a geological period of time. Worms have been around for billions of years and will be for billions to come, they are here to stay!

Westminster University have been commisioned by the BBC to create a branding for their move to the new building in the west end, this is one of the rough sketches. It's a old london bus transporting weather,news,science & audio to the new destination!!!

I watched a documentary about shark fin soup yesterday, so i did this...

Apparently since the fisheries in Asia and Costa Rica started scouring the pacific for shark fin, the predators numbers have decreased to 60%.

Gordon Ramsey is a bit of a wanker, but to be fair to him this was a really good documentary. It really hit home when i watched a hammerhead have its fins carved off while it was still alive, then to watch its carcass (still alive) be thrown back into the sea to bleed to death!

I just needed a rough mock up for my animation, there is a part of the animation where a human hand drops the compound 'BPA' (which is found plastic) into the sea. I am representing the compound as a gem. It was done in five minutes and i like the sort of rushed feel to it, so i thought i would stick it on here...

This is the plan, im going to create a website that creates awareness of non biodegradable plastics that are thrown in the sea. On this website i am going to include all forms of art work. I want to include animations, print, typography, photo etc. The website domain will be 'www.drawinggarbageinthesea.com' and the name of the whole ideal will be 'CREATIVE TRASH IN THE PACIFIC'. I designed a logo tonight along with a piece of work as just a creative outlet.

I am embarking on a summer project, that deals with non-biodegradable

plastics that are thrown in to the sea, and these plastics accumulate in the pacific

ocean. This part of the ocean has been nick named 'the great garbage patch'. The

plastics absorb pollutants such as pesticides, they then break down to smaller

edible sizes for the smaller fish to eat. The bigger fish eat those smaller fish,

then fish at the top of the food chain each those fish, then we catch them

and put them on straight our table...DOH!

I did this image to get some inspiration...

Here is a written piece given to me by a man on 5th avenue

in New York. It has given me inspiration for my self defined

project. This man is clearly a Paranoid-Schizophrenic. He claims

that the CIA are placing illegal substances in his food to keep him

quiet. This gave me an idea to play with the imagery of milk

production from the cow to the carton, and along the way

i want to show the adding of poisons and additives, that Raymond

told me all about...

Here is the 'digital stage', it's not finished yet this is

basically a milk factory, The camera will scroll down

this and show how the milk is made, This is not finished

but i want to show the progress of this project as much

as possible.

turning on played with the colour and made a load of of them
